Established in 1973 as an in-house general contractor, Krismar Construction of Worthe Real Estate Group is a trusted partner throughout the development process. Krismar works closely with clients, architecture and design partners, and trade partners from the earliest stages of projects to deliver cost-effective, high-performing world-class spaces. This formula has brought many successful projects to market within a timeframe much shorter than industry standard.

In 1985, Krismar began to expand its services to outside clients. Krismar continues to use the “owner/builder” approach with all outside clients in the belief that with proper early planning, meaningful cost savings can be achieved without compromising quality or building performance. Vast construction experience, long-time relationships with fine engineers and contractors, care for the protection and serviceability of buildings, and the desire to provide good client service, all provide advantages for Landlords and Tenants alike.

Meet the Management

Jeff Worthe is President of Worthe Real Estate Group and Krismar Construction, both Santa Monica-based companies. Mr. Worthe is a graduate of UC Santa Barbara, a Founding Board Member of the UCLA Ziman Center for Real Estate and a member of the Urban Land Institute. Active in many Los Angeles charities, Mr. Worthe also serves on the Board of Directors for Children's Hospital Los Angeles.

Emily Chang is proud to lead a great team of designers, engineers, and construction professionals. Emily started her career at Krismar in 2000 after earning civil engineering degrees from UCLA and MIT. Her commitment to building great architecture starts with early collaboration in the development process, maintaining successful relationships with stakeholders, and the achievement of set goals in design and construction.

Gary Morrison, Sr. Vice President, joined Krismar Construction in 1991 after earning his degree in Engineering Geology from UCSB. With over 30 years of industry experience, Gary brings a depth of insight and technical expertise that informs every stage of the construction process. Today, he and Sr. VP Emily Chang lead and manage all aspects of the company’s projects from pre-construction to completion.
